National Golf Day will be celebrated in Massachusetts all week long!
Join the Alliance of Massachusetts Golf Organizations (AMGO) in this opportunity to engage with our state representatives and educate them on the importance of the golf industry in the Commonwealth.
Week of May 10 - 14, 2021
What is National Golf Day?
National Golf Day celebrates the game’s $84.1 billion economy, nearly $4 billion annual charitable impact and many environmental and fitness benefits. Industry leaders will meet virtually with Members of Congress, the Executive Branch and federal agencies to discuss golf’s 15,000 diverse businesses, two million jobs impacted, tax revenue and tourism value.
National Golf Day is the pinnacle event of the year for WE ARE GOLF. As a coalition of golf industry leaders, National Golf Day will celebrate it’s 13th year in 2021. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, National Golf Day will take place virtually on May 10th. Click on the button below to learn more.

How can I help?
The biggest impact you can make is to reach out and make a connection with your local representative. Not sure who that is? Click on the button below to find you representative by zip code. These representatives are appreciative of business owners and operators reaching out to discuss issues that directly affect their industry and to celebrate the successes that have a positive impact on the local and state level.
Here are a few more ways to engage with your local representative.
⦁ Share the economic impact study - The Massachusetts Golf Economy
⦁ Promote operations and successes from 2020 and 2021
⦁ Provide a tour of the facility and the efforts that are made to keep staff and golfers safe
⦁ Invite them to play (if feasible) or for coffee/lunch
⦁ Take a photo and send back to AMGO to be distributed to local media
⦁ Keep it casual! Building a relationship with them is the most important step

AMGO's Involvement
The Alliance was originally established to determine ways to work with the Government on legislation that has a direct impact on the golf industry in Massachusetts. Along with AMGO's advocacy efforts, the Alliance will continue to promote the industry by way of celebrating our economic impact, remaining environmentally conscious and educating state representatives at every opportunity. The nine core organizations will be using this week to further establish the strong connection with local and state government officials to the benefit of the golf industry in Massachusetts.
