    Pinehills Golf Club is 36-hole facility with a Rees Jones course and a Nicklaus design course.  We are located in Plymouth, MA, 45 minutes from Boston and 10 minutes from Cape Cod.  We are planning a bunker renovation on the Nicklaus course in the Fall of 2020.

    Educational Requirements:

    • 2 or 4 year degree in turf or related field

    Experience Requirements:

    • 3 to 5 years on a golf course preferably in an assistant position

    Special Requirements:

    • Motivated individual willing to lead a large crew to perform at a high level
    •  Knowledge of all irrigation tasks is a must
    • Chemical and fertilizer calibration and application a plus.

    Job Benefits:

    • 75% paid health insurance, 401k, uniforms, and golf privileges


    Salary:  $44,000 - $48,000

    WAVERLY OAKS GOLF CLUB, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

    WAVERLY OAKS GOLF CLUB, Plymouth, MA is a championship daily-fee facility designed by Brian Silva in 1998. The greens, tees and fairways are predominantly a bent/poa mix with RainBird irrigation.  WOGC is seeking a responsible individual with hands on experience in the daily duties of golf course maintenance and requires having the fundamental knowledge of construction, establishment and maintenance practices employed on golf courses including: fertilizers; pesticides; irrigation; equipment maintenance, repair and operation; cultural practices; landscaping and other associated tasks.

    QUALIFICATIONS:    The preferred applicant should possess a minimum two-year turf management degree, experience managing crew members, a Mass Pesticide License, Mass Hoisting License and a strong work ethic.

    Position:         2nd Assistant Superintendent

    Description:   Pine Brook C.C is a private club located in Weston located about 15 minutes from Boston.  Originally built in 1924 by Wayne Stiles with updated changes by Ron Forse.  The club is halfway through a master plan with the goal to finish in the next couple of years.  

    Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000, paid vacation, 401K match, 75%-25% health (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), dental, attendance regional conference, local seminars, uniforms, lunches (in season), golf privileges

    Duties:   This position will work with the other assistants in all facets of maintenance including course setup, hand watering, pesticide/fertilizer applications, small irrigation repair, snow removal and pest and disease scouting.  All the while maintaining a healthy work/lifestyle.

    Education:         Turf degree or certificate preferred

    JOB TITLE: Director of Finance
    REPORTS TO: Executive Director/CEO, Mass Golf
    STATUS: Regular/exempt, full-time employee

    POSITION LOCATION: Golf House in Norton, MA. Occasional (and limited) travel within the state may be required.


    JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the management, oversight and direction of all financial accounting functions, human resources and compliance/general business operations/activities of Mass Golf and The Links at Mass Golf (an affiliate LLC). The Director leads a dedicated staff and supporting committee to help accomplish short and long-term financial goals as we aim to advance golf in Massachusetts.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manage, direct and lead all day-to-day accounting functions for Mass Golf, including but not limited to:

    • Collaborate with Executive Director/CEO and department heads to plan, assess and evaluate financial performance of organization.
    • Manage all accounting and financing transactions, processes and activities including accounts payable, receivables (collection process), expense reports, refunds, tax and payroll remittances, ensuring all practices are completed timely, accurately and adhere to applicable compliance regulations.
    • Provide accurate financial records, analytical support and recommendations for Executive Director/CEO, the Treasurer, Officers, Board and Department Heads on a timely basis (including monthly close and quarterly statements).
    • Manage and support the auditors (independent accounting firm) for the annual financial audit.
    • Manage and coordinate the budget and forecasting process and ensure budget timelines and schedules are met.
    • Administer and/or oversee processes and programs relating to human resources, including but not limited to, employment onboarding, payroll review and processing, benefit review, coordination and renewal and 401k plan administration.
    • Assess and align our accounting and HR structure to support growth and change to meet current and future business needs.
    • Manage quarterly sales tax filings as well as annual town filing requirements.
    • Manage infrastructure for the organization including property management/maintenance, overseeing leases, insurance, office equipment/furniture, technology, business contracts.
    • Work with the Treasurer and Investment Committee to manage/monitor the organizations investment accounts and restricted funds.
    • Manage and oversee all day-to-day office administration and ensure professional, proactive responsiveness for internal and external issues, questions and follow up communication.
    • Accept certain other special assignments as designated by the Executive Director/CEO.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (a professional accounting designation or post graduate degree preferred)
    • 8-10 years of general accounting and financial management experience; non-profit experience preferred
    • 5 years of experience supervising/managing staff and working with Senior Executives/Boards an asset.
    • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills; charismatic, personable, and motivational in working with colleagues, volunteers and industry representatives.
    • Possess a strong work ethic and ability to manage a series of projects with multiple teams/groups in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with Sage Accounting Software (or similar)
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Knowledge of, and commitment to the goals and philosophy of Mass Golf and passion for the sport and industry of golf is preferred.

    • Exceptional accounting skills

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     The Town of Yarmouth is searching for a Golf Mechanic to join their Golf Division team!

     Working under the general/direct supervision of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, the Golf Mechanic II maintains and repairs all light and heavy duty golf course equipment. Sharpening and grinding reels on a regular basis. Establishes and implements a coordinated preventative maintenance program for all turf equipment and vehicles

     RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School diploma or equivalency plus training in automotive and turf machinery. Three years’ experience in maintenance and repair of golf course equipment. Knowledge of diesel systems.

    Physical requirements include frequent moderate to strenuous physical effort required to perform functions under shop conditions. Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, bend, squat, and kneel. Frequently required to lift heavy objects.

    Special Requirements Ability to obtain MA Hoisting Engineer’s License Grade 2B.
