The successful candidate can expect to work closely with the superintendent and other assistant to achieve the goals set for that day.  In the event the superintendent is away from the property, the assistant will obtain the responsibility of the property.  This is not only a supervisory role since we are a smaller operation.  The assistant will be expected to be able to manage the crew while performing other duties (but not limited to) course set up, water management, product applications or completing small projects.  Being able to recruit, train and motivate employees is important.  A full job description will be obtained during the interview process.

Extended hours, when conditions require, can be expected during the growing season (April thru October).  A more flexible, relaxed work schedule occurs during the winter months.

A master plan was completed for the golf course in 2015 with Ian Andrew and we are implementing changes over the coming years.

A new, full HDPE, Toro two wire irrigation system install began in fall of 2019.  It will be finished in the spring of 2020 and is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to get exposure to the process.

A 2 to 4 year degree in turf management or a certificate in turfgrass management with multiple years of work experience.  Candidates should be able to show at minimum 2 years of managerial experience and at least 3 years working experience prior to that.
