    TITLE: Manager of Women’s Events & Player Development
    REPORTS TO: Director of Member Services
    STATUS: Regular/exempt, full-time employee

    LOCATION: Golf House in Norton, MA. Travel within the state (and region on occasion) is required.

    SUMMARY: Responsible for overall management of all Mass Golf Women’s Tournaments and Events, as well as strategic programs aimed at overall player development. Works in concert with the Member Services staff, Member Club representatives and volunteer Rules Officials to promote and ensure a positive experience for players, participants and host clubs for all tournaments and events.

    • Responsible for leading and evaluating the Women’s Tournament and Event program, as well as training and managing the support staff, interns and volunteers associated with all events.
    • Administrative management of Women’s Tournaments and Events including online registration, player support, pre-event communication and coordination with participants and host club staff.
    • Coordinates and performs on-site tournament duties including event and course set-up, registration, starting,monitoring pace of play and scoring.
    • Assists with site procurement for future events.
    • Assists the Director of Member Services in managing and administering Mass Golf and USGA/industry initiatives and events that support and educate our Members, Member Clubs and Allied Associations on a wide range of programs and benefits.
    • Works jointly with the Member Services team to contribute to the expansion of player development programs and services designed to engage new, casual and latent golfers across all segments of age, gender and playing ability.
    • Assist with other special projects as assigned by the Director of Member Services and the Executive Director (i.e.,meetings, seminars and projects).

    • A high level of interest in golf administration with previous experience in the golf industry.
    • Outgoing personality with strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with staff and volunteers.
    • Ability to effectively manage numerous projects concurrently.
    • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner with an emphasis on responsive member service.
    • Working knowledge of the Rules of Golf and tournament administration.
    • Proficient with MS Office and CRM programs, USGA GHIN platform and Golf Genius/Tournament Management.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; frequent travel throughout the state is required.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    The Brookside Club a year round, daily fee, public golf course located in Bourne, Massachusetts, is currently looking for an individual with experience to take care of our turf equipment .
    QUALIFICATIONS:  The preferred applicant should have some experience in small engine and turf equipment repairs. The applicant should also have some experience in reel and bedknife grinding. Maintaining a clean, safe, well organized shop is a must.

    The Town of Yarmouth is searching for a Golf Mechanic II to join their Golf Division team!

    Working under the general/direct supervision of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, the Golf Mechanic II maintains and repairs all light and heavy duty golf course equipment. Sharpening and grinding reels on a regular basis. Establishes and implements a coordinated preventative maintenance program for all turf equipment and vehicles

    High School diploma or equivalency plus training in automotive and turf machinery. Three years’ experience in maintenance and repair of golf course equipment. Knowledge of diesel systems.
    Physical requirements include frequent moderate to strenuous physical effort required to perform functions under shop conditions. Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, bend, squat, and kneel. Frequently required to lift heavy objects.
    Special Requirements Ability to obtain MA Hoisting Engineer’s License Grade 2B.

    Duties Description:  Golf Club of New England is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to oversee and maintain a broad spectrum of turf care equipment.

    The equipment manager/mechanic will be responsible for a fleet of equipment from all three major golf course equipment suppliers.  We also have Club car carts as well as many other small pieces of Stihl and Honda equipment.

    • The equipment tech must possess good organizational and record keeping skills.
    • Must be able to perform moderate physical labor.
    • Must be able to communicate with superintendent and assistant superintendent on a daily basis.
    • Must be responsible for ordering parts and keeping track of inventory.
    • Must have computer skills
    • Proficiency in Express Dual 3000 and Angle Master 3000 grinding is preferred.
    • Has an understanding of reel grinding and mower setup and the effect on course conditions

    Assistant Superintendent - Alpine Country Club

    Description:  Alpine Country Club is a private 18-hole design by Geoffrey Cornish in Cranston, RI. Opened in 1960, the course comprises 150 acres which includes the golf course, extensive practice facilities, a pool area and horticultural amenities. Alpine has a growing, active membership with annual rounds at 17,000+ during a ten month season.

    Education:  Four or two year degree preferred in Turf Management or related field. Should possess or be able to obtain RI Pesticide Applicators License.
    Experience: As part of the Alpine team you will be expected to help manage work efficiently around play. Candidate should have strong experience in basic maintenance tasks, irrigation management, equipment operation training, fertilizer/pesticide applications, course set-up, and IPM scouting. Should ideally have at least 2 years’ experience in managing and training staff to perform at a level to exceed our members and guests expectations.

    Most importantly candidate should have a people oriented demeanor that meshes with our mature staff, helps integrate new staff, our other departments and the rest of our Alpine family.

    Salary and Benefits:  Salary range starting at $52,000-56,000 based on qualifications, full benefit package with some employee contribution, paid vacation per club policy, uniforms, local association dues and education paid for, meals, golf privileges.     Colonial DryJect & Turf Services, based out of Plymouth, MA is seeking equipment operators to run various aeration equipment on golf courses located in Eastern New England.

    You will be operating tractors with attachments, some walking equipment, and will eventually need to drive a truck and trailer (under CDL weight)

    You will be paid to train and travel. We generally spend up to 15 nights in hotels over the entire year.

    Hourly rate is between $17-21/hr based on experience.

    We prefer seasonal full time but we also have a full time year round position.
